This is a Cape Cod style home with a bow roof (a.k.a. ship’s-bottom, whaleback, hogback or rainbow roof). There are a few of these bow roofed houses scattered around the Cape. This one is in a really historic section of Yarmouth, so it is likely an original bow-roof cape. There were a few of these built later during the housing boom here years ago, but they are not very popular with people building houses nowadays. On this particular house only the main, or original part of the house has the bowed roof. The addition in the foreground has a regular straight even pitched gable roof.
