Bathing suits, no matter how much they reveal or conceal, belong at the beach and not on the street, especially Main Street. I never cease to wonder at some people’s sense of fitness. Women who wouldn’t dream of attending a wedding in a negligee, or going to church in slacks, or prancing around in a play suit on the public streets of their home towns, don’t hesitate to parade a la bathing suit in (town) just because it’s a summer resort.

My how things have changed. If this person had seen a thong bathing suit…
