How many tourists visit Cape Cod each year?

According to MA State sources, nearly 6 million people visit Cape Cod each year. 4+ million of those people visit the Cape Cod National Seashore according to the NPS visitor counts.

It is estimated that 5.23 million tourists visit Cape Cod each year and that nearly twothirds (65%) of all visitors to the Cape arrive in the summer and early fall months.

The resort industry directly employs an annual average of 19,064 persons in 2,436 business units and accounts for 22.3 percent of the region’s total direct employment. When the effect of indirect and induced impacts is calculated, the resort industry generates approximately 40 percent of the region’s total employment.
