Fishermen Take Note
Like the air we breathe, saltwater fishing is free. You do not need a license to fish in the salt waters of Cape Cod.
Massachusetts law does not require a fishing license for those fishers fishing in saltwater. Presently, there is no license requirement for recreational saltwater angling, however, a commercial permit is required when any fish are sold. Keep in mind that there are many restrictions regarding bag limits and minimum sizes for many saltwater fish species.
