Cape Cod Water Cure
A century and a half ago, according to records brought to light by the clerk of courts, Barnstable County, it was reported “that the Cape Cod Hydropathic or Water Cure Institute is now ready for patronage.”
“It is located directly across the pond from the high and wooded hill known as Scargo Hill. Boats and bathing houses on the pond speak of health and pleasure to the invalid, and shady pine groves whisper to him of enjoyment in walking, while a smooth, hard beach a quarter mile distant invites him to stroll by the sea shore. The Institute is under direction of Dr. B. D. Nye. Rates, for board and treatment, $5 to $10 a week.”

I live in in it. I am always looking for more information on it’s history and what it looked like back in its heyday.
