I had an unfortunate experience with this motel- I booked a three night minimum stay for a long holiday weekend. It was clear there would be a one night pre-paid deposit, it was clear there was a $25.00 charge should you cancel at least 7 days prior to arrival. It was never mentioned either on their website or on my email confirmation that this room was non-refundable.
When I called 2 weeks prior to arrival, the owner stated that she was sorry but she would not refund my $141.51 (the one night deposit), she stated that it was a ‘non-cancellabe’ reservation. This was not stated on either the motel website nor on my email confirmation. I made several calls to speak with the owner-to discuss this with her, but my argument fell on deaf ears. Very disappointed with their management. The honest thing for them to do would be to refund my deposit and charge the $25.00 fee that is indicated on my email confirmation.
